The system we supply
Schueco Corona CT 70 uPVC window system
A 70 mm, five-chamber uPVC profile extruded by Schueco in Germany. We make it into finished windows and doors at our St Marys factory and supply builders, architects and resellers across Australia.
What CT 70 is
Corona CT 70 is Schueco's 70 mm uPVC system for windows and doors. The frame is divided into five chambers, and two continuous gasket levels seal the sash against the frame. Steel reinforcement inside the profile carries the weight of large and heavy glass units.
Schueco extrudes the profile in Germany using its Hot Countries (HC) compound, formulated for extreme climates and strong UV, with ongoing weathering tests. We import the profiles and make them into finished windows and doors at our factory in St Marys, NSW, glazed to your specification, for new builds, extensions and renovation work.
Why builders and architects choose it
- Thermal performance. Frame U-value from 1.2 W/(m²K). With the right glass unit, that helps a home reach its NatHERS and BASIX targets.
- Acoustic control. Tested to Rw 47 dB with suitable glazing, for homes near main roads, rail lines and flight paths.
- Security. Up to RC 2 burglary resistance with safety glass and Schueco VarioTec hardware.
- Slim sight lines. 120 mm combined frame and sash face width on the standard profile, narrower than 82 mm systems.
- Built for Australian sun. Profiles use Schueco's Hot Countries compound, made for high UV and heat.
- One supplier across the job. CT 70 windows, French and entrance doors, plus Schueco SoftSlide and EasySlide sliding doors in matching finishes.

Window types
Thermal performance
Five chambers, two seal levels
The isotherm shows how temperature changes across a CT 70 section when it's cold outside. The chambers and gaskets hold the cold at the outer face, so the inside of the frame stays warmer and the risk of condensation drops.
For energy ratings, Schueco publishes Uf values for every frame and sash combination, with and without steel reinforcement. We use those tables to give your energy assessor the right figures for each window.
Uf value tables
Glazing
Double or triple glazed
The CT 70 sash takes glass units from 4 to 42 mm, enough for triple glazing. Low-E coatings, argon fill and laminated or toughened glass are specified per opening, depending on energy, acoustic and safety needs.
Finishes
White, foil or aluminium-clad
Standard white, more than 300 Schueco foil finishes in colours and woodgrains, or TopAlu aluminium cladding on the outside in any RAL colour.
Hardware
Schueco VarioTec
Tilt and turn hardware with mushroom-head locking cams, concealed or surface-mounted hinges and a tilt-before-turn option. Security up to RC 2.
Next step up: Schueco Perfect
Schueco Perfect adds factory-matched sun shading, flyscreens, fall protection and threshold options to Schueco windows and lift and slide doors. We don't import it yet.

FAQ
Questions from builders and architects
What is Schueco Corona CT 70?
Corona CT 70 is Schueco's 70 mm uPVC window and door system. The frame has five chambers and two continuous gasket levels, takes glazing from 4 to 42 mm, and reaches a frame U-value (Uf) from 1.2 W/(m²K). We use it for tilt and turn, casement, awning, fixed windows, French doors and entrance doors.
How quiet are CT 70 windows?
Schueco tested a CT 70 tilt and turn window at Rw 47 dB (1230 × 1480 mm unit, test report 21-001425-PR01). The figure for a real window depends on the glass unit, so we confirm it for each project.
What U-value does CT 70 achieve?
The frame and sash reach Uf from 1.2 W/(m²K), with most profile combinations between 1.2 and 1.6 depending on glazing thickness and steel reinforcement. Schueco gives Uw 1.3 W/(m²K) as an example for a double glazed window. The whole-window figure depends on the glass unit and the window size.
Is CT 70 the same as Schueco LivIng?
No. LivIng is Schueco's 82 mm, seven-chamber system. CT 70 is the 70 mm, five-chamber system with slimmer frames. Both are extruded at Schueco's uPVC plant in Weißenfels, Germany. Schueco's head office is in Bielefeld.
How large can a CT 70 window be?
A reinforced tilt and turn sash with bonded glazing can be up to 2400 mm high and 90 kg, depending on wind load and sash profile. Smaller unreinforced sashes have lower limits. Send us your sizes and we'll check every opening against Schueco's size tables.
Do you supply CT 70 outside Sydney?
Yes. We deliver across Sydney and regional NSW from St Marys. In Queensland, our reseller Comfort Double Glazed uPVC Windows & Doors in Mango Hill supplies the same product, and we're adding resellers in other states.
