Schueco uPVC lift and slide doors
Large, heavy glass panels that slide with one hand. Schueco EasySlide vents go up to 3225 mm wide and 300 kg, on a flush, thermally broken threshold, with Rw 43 dB and RC 2 available.
How lift and slide works
Turning the handle lifts the vent a few millimetres off its seals and onto its carriage. The vent then slides on rollers with very little effort, even at several hundred kilograms. Turn the handle back and the vent drops onto the gaskets and locks, pressing the seals closed.
Because the vent sits on its seals when closed, a lift and slide door can be built far larger and heavier than a standard sliding door, and it still reaches sound and security ratings. EasySlide has a 167 mm frame depth and takes glass from 6 to 42 mm, enough for triple glazing or thick acoustic laminates.
Why specify it
- Very large vents. Up to 3225 mm wide, up to 2450 mm high and 300 kg per vent in white.
- Flush threshold. Thermally broken, so there's no cold strip along the floor and the step between rooms and deck stays minimal.
- Acoustic rating. Up to Rw 43 dB, for living areas facing roads, rail or flight paths.
- Security. RC 2 with safety glass and concealed fittings.
- Aluminium outside if needed. TopAlu cladding in any RAL colour is available on type 01 doors.
- Smart home ready. The Schueco wireless window sensor (Matter compatible, 2 × AAA, built-in alarm) works with EasySlide.
Things to plan for
The door is heavy, so the subfloor or slab edge has to carry it and the opening must be set out for the frame and threshold before finishes go down. Above 150 kg per vent, Schueco strongly recommends the SoftHandle option. Vent width to height should not exceed 1:2.25. Double-track units should not be fitted in unprotected, exposed locations, so tell us about exposed elevations early. EasySlide has no WERS listing yet, so allow time for us to prepare energy data for your assessor.

Layouts
Two, three and four-part units
Two-part
One large sliding vent past a fixed pane, or two sliding vents. The simplest way to get a wide clear opening with the biggest glass.
Three and four-part
For wider walls, with sliding and fixed panes arranged to suit the opening and the direction the client wants it to open.
Handle options
SoftHandle, SoftLift and SmartClose are optional Schueco components for the lift and slide fitting. SoftHandle is strongly recommended from 150 kg per vent; we'll match the options to each vent weight.

For builders
We'll give you the frame dimensions, threshold set-down and vent weights before you pour or frame the opening, so the door goes in without rework.
For architects
Sections, Uf tables and acoustic data for EasySlide. Tell us your acoustic and energy targets and we'll propose the glass unit and confirm what the vent size allows.
For resellers
The large-format door in the range, for the clients who want the whole back wall to open. We supply it with handle options sorted per vent weight.

FAQ
Questions from builders and architects
How big can an EasySlide lift and slide vent be?
Up to 3225 mm wide and up to 2450 mm high in white, with a maximum vent weight of 300 kg. Height reduces on the widest vents and in higher wind classes, and foiled vents are limited to 2225 mm wide and 2200 mm high. The smallest vent is 760 × 1200 mm.
Does EasySlide have WERS ratings?
Not yet. WERS doesn't list EasySlide under our name, so we supply energy data on request. Schueco gives a frame Uf from 1.47 W/(m²K), and we'll work out the figures for your glass unit with your energy assessor.
What is SoftHandle and do I need it?
SoftHandle is a Schueco handle option for heavy lift and slide vents. Schueco strongly recommends it for vents of 150 kg or more, which you reach quickly with large triple or laminated glass units. We'll flag the vents on your schedule that need it.
Can EasySlide be used as a stacking door?
No. EasySlide runs on two tracks, so one vent slides past a fixed panel or another vent. For panels that park behind one another, use a SoftSlide 3-track stacking door. If the client wants the largest panels, EasySlide is the better choice.
What threshold does EasySlide have?
A flush, thermally broken threshold. It keeps the floor level close to continuous between inside and out, and the thermal break stops a cold strip forming along the floor. Give us the floor build-up on both sides so we can set the frame height.
Is EasySlide suitable for exposed coastal or high-wind sites?
Schueco notes that double-track sliding units should not go in unprotected, exposed locations. Tell us the site exposure and wind classification and we'll check each vent against Schueco's size tables, or suggest a different layout.
