FAQ

Questions from builders and architects

Which Schueco systems do you supply?

Tilt and turn, casement, awning and fixed windows, French doors and entrance doors are built on Schueco Corona CT 70. Sliding windows, sliding doors and stacking doors use Schueco SoftSlide. Lift and slide doors use Schueco EasySlide. We don't make hopper, bi-fold or tilt and slide units.

Do you make the profiles?

No. Schueco extrudes the profiles in Germany. We import them and fabricate the finished windows and doors at our factory in St Marys, NSW: cutting, welding, reinforcing, glazing and fitting the Schueco hardware.

What U-values do your windows reach?

The CT 70 frame reaches Uf from 1.2 W/(m²K). Whole-window values on WERS, listed under manufacturer Sustainable Windows, run from Uw 0.9 to 2.5 W/(m²K) depending on product and glazing. CT 70 fixed windows reach Uw 0.9 and tilt and turn windows Uw 1.2 with triple glazing.

Are your windows rated on WERS for NatHERS and BASIX?

Yes. We have 340 WERS ratings covering tilt and turn, fixed, casement, awning, hinged door, SoftSlide door and SoftSlide window products, with AGG glass. Your energy assessor can use them directly. There's no WERS data for EasySlide yet.

Do you have AS 2047 ratings?

AS 2047 test reports are available on request. Tell us the project and the openings and we'll send the reports that apply.

How large can a window or door be?

A reinforced CT 70 tilt and turn sash with bonded glazing can be up to 2400 mm high and 90 kg, depending on wind load. A SoftSlide sash goes up to 1750 × 2200 mm and 100 kg. An EasySlide vent goes up to 3225 × 2450 mm and 300 kg. Send your sizes and we'll check each opening against Schueco's tables.

Are the windows double or triple glazed?

Either. The CT 70 sash takes glass units from 4 to 42 mm, so triple glazing fits. Glass is specified per opening for energy, acoustic and safety needs.

How quiet are they?

Schueco tested a CT 70 tilt and turn window at Rw 47 dB with acoustic glass. EasySlide is rated up to Rw 43 dB and the CT 70 entrance door Rw 38 dB. The real figure depends on the glass unit, so we confirm it per project.

What colours are available?

White, more than 300 Schueco foil colours and woodgrains, or TopAlu aluminium cladding in any RAL colour on CT 70 and EasySlide. SoftSlide has no TopAlu option. Inside and outside colours can differ.

How do I get a quote?

Send a window schedule, or plans and elevations (PDF or DWG), through the trade enquiry form or to sales@sustainablewindows.com.au. Include glazing needs, colours, site location and when you need the windows. We reply within one business day.

What are your lead times and prices?

Both depend on the job: quantity, sizes, colour and glazing. Ask us with your schedule and we'll give you a price and a lead time to plan against your build program.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver from St Marys across Sydney and regional NSW, to site, your yard or a reseller showroom. In Queensland, our reseller Comfort Double Glazed uPVC Windows & Doors in Mango Hill supplies the same product.

Do you install?

We focus on supply to the trade, so installation is done by your builder, your installer or a reseller in your area. If you need installers, we can recommend an experienced, reputable team we've worked with for many years.

Can my company resell your windows?

Yes. Resellers buy finished Schueco windows and doors from us and sell them in their region. We supply product, training and sales material. See the reseller page or send an enquiry.
