uPVC windows supplier in Penrith
Our St Marys showroom sits inside the City of Penrith, so this is the area we know best. Penrith has some of Sydney's hottest summers, a new airport on its southern edge and a steady stream of new estates, and each of those changes what goes in the window schedule.
Building in the City of Penrith
Penrith City Council covers Penrith itself, St Marys, Kingswood, Emu Plains, Cranebrook, Glenmore Park, Erskine Park and the rural land out to Mulgoa, Luddenham and Londonderry. The housing growth has moved through Glenmore Park, Jordan Springs, Caddens and Claremont Meadows, with Orchard Hills and the Sydney Science Park at Luddenham next in line.
St Marys is changing fastest. The station is being rebuilt as the interchange between the T1 Western Line and the new Sydney Metro line to the airport and Bradfield, so expect more medium-density work around the town centre. Penrith's CBD already has apartment buildings along the rail line and the Great Western Highway, where road and rail noise set the glazing.
Heat is the first design problem
On 4 January 2020, the Bureau of Meteorology's Penrith Lakes station recorded 48.9 °C, the highest temperature measured in the Sydney basin. Houses here need to keep summer heat out without losing winter sun. Two things do most of the work: a frame that doesn't conduct heat (uPVC, with CT 70 at Uf from 1.2 W/(m²K)) and glass chosen for each elevation. Low-SHGC glass on the west, clearer glass on the north where eaves shade it in summer. Our WERS ratings give the assessor that choice: SHGC 0.12–0.39 across CT 70 tilt and turn, casement and awning windows.

Aircraft noise
Western Sydney International flight paths
The airport at Badgerys Creek opens to passenger flights on 25 October 2026, and runs around the clock. Forecasts published with the draft environmental impact statement in 2023 put Erskine Park at 20 to 49 flights a day above 70 dB by 2033 when aircraft use the runway in one direction, with Greendale similarly affected in the other. Luddenham, which straddles the Penrith and Liverpool council areas, and Badgerys Creek also get flights above 70 dB. A directive to use reciprocal runway operations at night, when safe, is meant to keep night flights away from the Blue Mountains, Wallacia and dense parts of Western Sydney.
For a bedroom under a flight path, the glass does most of the acoustic work. Schueco tested a CT 70 tilt and turn window at Rw 47 dB with acoustic laminated glass. Get an acoustic report for sites with high forecast noise, and we'll match the glass build-up to it.

Next door to your site
Penrith jobs are our shortest deliveries. Builders can call in to the St Marys showroom by appointment to sign off colours with a client, or bring a schedule to go through opening by opening. Rural sites on the edge of the LGA can be on Penrith's bush fire prone land map; if yours is, the BAL is assessed for the site, so tell us the assessed level before we quote and we'll tell you what we can supply.

FAQ
Questions from builders and architects
Are you in the Penrith council area?
Yes. Our showroom and office are at 21 Severn St, St Marys, which is in the City of Penrith. Visits are by appointment, Monday to Friday 8:00–17:00.
Which Penrith suburbs are most affected by the new airport?
Forecasts published with the airport's draft environmental impact statement in 2023 put Erskine Park and Greendale at 20 to 49 flights a day above 70 dB by 2033, depending on runway direction, with Luddenham and Badgerys Creek also above 70 dB. Noise varies street by street, so check the address on the WSI flight path tool.
How do uPVC windows help with Penrith's summer heat?
The frame itself conducts little heat (CT 70 Uf from 1.2 W/(m²K)), and the glass controls solar gain. Our WERS ratings include SHGC values as low as 0.12 for CT 70 opening windows, which is what you want on west-facing walls.
