Our Sustainable Impact

Our Contribution to a more Sustainable Construction Industry

Acting sustainably is both a duty and a driving force for us – our “Green Motivation”. As a company in the construction industry, we bear a forward-looking and long-term responsibility, as buildings affect people and the environment for decades. With our products and services, we have the leverage to actively contribute to a more sustainable world.

Circular Economy: Go Circular

At Sustainable Windows, we believe: Buildings are the resource depots of the future. Thus, we actively drive the transition from a linear to a circular construction method, that is, to closed material cycles – for instance, through our Cradle-to-Cradle certified systems.

What is Circular Economy About?

In the circular economy, valuable materials are preserved without loss of quality even after their active use phase: What used to be called construction waste becomes the raw material for a new, equally high-quality product. This happens, for example, when a facade element, after being returned to the production cycle, becomes a qualitatively equivalent building component. The circular economy responds to the growing demand for resources by calling for waste to be minimized (Reduce), products and materials to be reused (Reuse), and materials to be recycled (Recycle) after their active use phase.

Our Circular Capable Systems

Schüco uPVC products also meet high standards in terms of recyclability and emission reduction – this is also confirmed by the award of the VinylPlus® Product Label, making Schüco the first company in the industry to receive this honor.
